VCE (Victorian Certificate of Education) is the final step in secondary education, dictating ATAR scores, university admissions and scholarship opportunities.
Success in VCE not only requires knowledge of the content, but intuitive understanding of it’s application. Particularly in end-of-year examinations, students must be prepared to synthesize knowledge of a variety of areas into comprehensive solutions, for case studies that have yet to directly prepare for.
Furthermore, understanding how VCE subject study scores are manipulated and processed during scaling enables students to focus their efforts to achieve the highest results possible. This is in addition to establishing essential knowledge for undergraduate education.
The rate is $80 per hour for one-on-one private tutoring, with additional materials, homework and marking provided at no additional cost. Furthermore, you have permanent access to my contact information for quick questions. I can assist VCE students in the following areas:
VCE Chemistry
VCE Physics
VCE Mathematical Methods
VCE General Mathematics
VCE Further Mathematics
VCE Business Studies
VCE English*
*Note this induces additional fees during to increase tutoring preparation required for reading materials.
I am always looking to expand my skillset! Feel free to contact me about other VCE subjects. Otherwise, I have other excellent tutors I can refer to.

The General Achievement Test (GAT) is a crucial but often underestimated part of VCE. All students enrolled in VCE Units 3 and 4 must sit the GAT, which assesses general knowledge and skills in written communication, mathematics, science, technology, humanities, and the arts.
GAT results are used by VCAA to moderate school-based assessments (SACs) and to validate exam scores, ensuring consistency in difficulty across different schools. Furthermore, if a student applies for a derived exam score due to illness, trauma, or other special circumstances, their performance on the GAT may form the basis for that score — making it a vital backup plan. Additionally, as literacy and numeracy benchmarks are reported on student statements, strong GAT results can help demonstrate well-rounded academic ability to future employers and tertiary institutions. These factors also translate to university entrance exams.
To prepare for the GAT, I offer a $200 package, including 2 hours of tutoring, mock tests and critique and marking. The 2 hour lesson goes over:
Essay planning and structure advice.
Practice exams with detailed feedback.
Training and review of common skills tested on the exam.
Game-theory approach and multiple choice questions and extended response.

University can be a challenging shift from high school, with new expectations around independent learning and critical thinking. Many students struggle not due to know-how, but due to unfamiliarity with conventions and independence with assignment direction. In this regard, I’ve personally seen that targeted support from a recent graduate can make a major difference.
Tutoring at the undergraduate level provides clarity, structure, and confidence. Students often benefit from personalised guidance in essay planning, report writing, citation practices (APA, Harvard, etc.), and data interpretation. It’s also ideal for international students or those from non-traditional pathways who want to bridge gaps in academic English and university-level communication.
Ongoing support helps students not only improve their grades but also develop skills that are crucial for postgraduate study or professional life, including critical analysis, time management, and academic integrity.
The rate is $90 per hour. I can assist in the following areas*:
Bachelor of Science
ALL courses within a Chemistry Major
FOUNDATIONAL courses for all other majors.
Bachelor of Business
ALL courses within a Management Major
FOUNDATIONAL courses for all other majors.
Assistance navigating library research databases
Suggested resources for discipline-specific information.
Speeches and Oral Presentations
*Pending review of academic integrity principles.

Academic English is more than just writing essays — it’s the foundation for success in VCE, the GAT, and ultimately university studies. For high school students planning to enter undergraduate programs, especially those from non-English-speaking backgrounds, developing strong academic communication skills early is essential. Academic English equips students to read critically, write with clarity and structure, and engage confidently in classroom discussions.
Many international and bilingual students may have everyday conversational skills, but still struggle with the formal, analytical language required for academic success. I help bridge that gap — giving students the tools they need to thrive in their final years of school and at university through the following:
Essay Structure and Planning
Academic Vocabulary
Paraphrasing and Quotations
Correct referencing technique and structure
Understanding Assignment Briefs
Rates are dependent on the student’s needs, with the session being regularly or one-off. Contact me for more information

The early years are the formative years of a student’s academic journey. This is when they build the essential skills that underpin later success in VCE, the GAT, and even university. Students who receive support early tend to be more confident, better organised, and perform more consistently across subjects. These years are also when many students start to fall behind if they’re unsure how to manage the growing demands of multiple subjects and assessments. We saw this greatly during the COVID pandemic, with many students now lacking essential skills - mostly in mathematics and critical thinking.
My tutoring approach helps students develop core academic skills, strong study habits, and a positive mindset toward learning — especially important for those who may feel overwhelmed or disengaged. Whether it’s building essay-writing confidence, grasping scientific concepts, or managing time more effectively, I offer structured, supportive guidance to help students thrive now and feel ready for what’s ahead.
The rate is at $70 per hour for one-on-one tutoring, with additional materials, homework and marking provided at no additional cost. Furthermore, you have permanent access to my contact information for quick questions.
I can assist in the following areas:
Mathematics
English
Humanities/SOSE
Science
Information Technology

I also offer a variety of general academic skills and abilities for one-off lessons in areas that are niche or otherwise quick. These include but are not limited to:
Computer Skills (incl. Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office)
Oral Presentation Abilities
Resume Building
Networking Opportunities
Time Management Abilities
